Encore OT Pricing
At Encore OT, we believe pricing should reflect both the value of our care and the transparency our clients deserve. Our fees are structured to meet the Department of Health, Disability, and Ageing’s new requirements for allied health services under the Support at Home program. This requires travel costs to be embedded in direct service rates, rather than being charged separately. We’ve designed our pricing to be fair, easy to understand, and tailored to the realities of community-based occupational therapy.
Encore Occupational Therapy operates as a private contractor.
Please note that if you are funded under the Support at Home program, your package provider can charge an amount above Encore OT’s stated fees to cover their care management costs.

Our position on pricing
We embed travel costs proportionately into our direct service rate to:
- Comply with the Department of Health, Disability and Ageing requirements
- Avoid surprise charges
- Ensure fairness across different visit lengths
- Reflect the true cost of delivering care in the community
Indirect services, such as reports, research, and care management, are charged at a lower rate because they do not involve travel.
Our rates may look different, but they haven’t increased.
We’ve simply combined what was previously billed separately: travel time, kilometres, and direct clinical services. Clients continue to pay the same fair rate for the same high-quality care.
How do we calculate our travel loading?
Travel loading for Canberra/Queanbeyan has been averaged at 20 minutes of travel time ($66.67) and 20km at $0.96/km (ATO rates).
Total travel cost per visit is $85.87, distributed across the direct service session length, rounded to the nearest whole number for clarity.
Return travel is not charged for Canberra and Queanbeyan services.
